quotable trades · Trading as QUOTABLE · Updated 18 September 2026
1. Who is responsible for your data
quotable trades, trading as QUOTABLE, is the data controller for personal data processed to run this marketplace. For privacy questions or requests, contact quotable.company@gmail.com.
2. What we collect and why
Account details: name, email, authentication information and account role are used to create and secure your account and provide the service (performance of our contract and legitimate interests in security). Passwords are handled by our authentication provider; we do not need your plaintext password.
Jobs and contact details: job descriptions, trade category, location, budget, timeframe, contact name, email, telephone and full address are used to publish jobs and connect customers with subscribing tradespeople (contract performance).
Trade profiles and reviews: company details, service areas, experience, website, public contact information, profile pictures, work photographs, review author names, ratings and comments are used to display profiles and reviews to signed-in users (contract performance and legitimate interests in a useful, trustworthy marketplace).
Membership information: subscription status, customer and subscription references, renewal dates and lead unlock history are used to manage access and resolve billing issues (contract performance and legal obligations). Card details are collected and processed by Stripe, our payment processor; we do not store full card numbers.
Support messages: your name, email, topic and message are used to respond to enquiries and investigate problems (contract performance or legitimate interests in customer support).
Technical information: IP addresses, device and browser information, access and error logs may be processed to operate, diagnose and secure the service and prevent abuse (legitimate interests). Where consent is legally required for optional analytics or marketing, we will obtain it first.
3. Who can see your information
Job listings show job information and approximate location, but contact details are protected until unlocked by a tradesperson with active membership. Posting a job means those eligible tradespeople may receive your contact details to discuss that job. Tradespeople are responsible for their own lawful use of information they receive; cancellation cannot recall details they have already received.
Published trade profiles, their selected public contact details, photographs and reviews are visible to signed-in users. Avoid including private information in public-facing descriptions or photos. Authorised administrators can access support messages, which are also sent to our support email inbox.
We share data as needed with service providers for hosting, database storage, authentication, email delivery and support; Stripe for card payments, subscription billing, invoicing and fraud prevention; professional legal and accounting advisers; and authorities where required by law. Stripe processes payment data as described in Stripe’s Privacy Policy. We do not sell personal data for advertising.
4. Retention
We retain account, profile and job information while it is needed to provide your account and manage the relevant jobs. Support messages and security records are retained only for as long as reasonably needed to resolve enquiries, prevent abuse or handle disputes. Records needed for tax, accounting or other legal obligations are retained for the applicable statutory period.
When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it, subject to legal holds and normal backup expiry. You may request account deletion at quotable.company@gmail.com; we will explain any information we must retain and why.
5. International transfers and security
Our service providers may process data outside the UK or EEA. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards such as adequacy decisions, standard contractual clauses and applicable UK transfer safeguards. Contact us for information about safeguards relevant to your data.
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encrypted connections, authentication and access controls, to protect personal data. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
6. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction of processing and portability, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing.
Send requests to quotable.company@gmail.com. We may need to verify your identity. We normally respond within one month; where the law allows an extension for a complex request, we will explain it within that month. You may complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or your local data protection supervisory authority.
7. Cookies and browser storage
We use essential cookies or browser storage for sign-in, session security and necessary service functionality. Payment providers may use essential storage to operate checkout and prevent fraud. Essential storage is necessary for these features; blocking it in your browser may prevent sign-in or payment.
Optional analytics or marketing storage only runs after you tell us to. When you first visit we show a cookie preference banner where you can accept or decline, and you can change your choice at any time using the Cookie preferences link at the bottom of our pages. You can also block cookies and site storage through your browser settings, though doing so may stop you from signing in or paying.
8. Updates
We may update this notice as the service changes and will communicate material changes where appropriate. The date above shows when it was last updated.
